Hello, my name is Aki. I'm a game programmer comfortable with both C# and C++.
While my experiences have mostly been as a generalist, my preferences lean towards game-state management and game-AI.
Most of my time has been spent in Unity. From my studies at The Game Assembly I've learned the fundamentals of game engines so I feel comfortable getting into any development environment.
I've been been part of releasing an indie title, worked on a couple of tech demos and multiple smaller student project games.
I'm a structured problem solver, looking for both technical and creative solutions.
Working in interdisciplinary teams is some of the most fun I've had, and I believe that is the best way to solve problems and where ideas and creativity thrive.
For this communication is key, something that I put a lot of effort into. I do my best to take feedback to heart and want to grow along with those I work with.
Video games have been a large part of my life ever since I got a Gameboy Advance as a kid, where I first thought "How are they doing this?".
My curiosity remains and I love to find out about all the ways games can be put together. I look forward to the opportunity to work on projects that can bring the same sense of wonder and curiosity to others.
